Paul Aidoo hands over to E.K.T. Addo in the Western Region




Sekondi, March 26 GNA – Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, Western Regional Minister, on Tuesday handed over the administration of the region to Mr Ebenezer K. T. Addo at a brief ceremony at the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC).

Mr Aidoo has been re-assigned to the Brong Ahafo region while Mr Addo is coming in from the Central region.

At separate meetings with heads of decentralized institutions, the WRCC and members of the Regional Security Council (RESEC) the outgoing Minister stressed the need for them to accord the incoming Minister the same cordiality for the rapid growth of the region.

In attendance were District Chief Executives from the region.

He said some challenges in the region including the activities of the illegal miners and chieftaincy problems needed a tactical approach to ensure the relative peace and harmony in the region.

Mr Aidoo said the Daboase water head works also require priority approach to help solve the water problems in the metropolis and its environs.

He called for teamwork and cooperation from all related institutions to run the administration of the region.

Mr Kwasi Osei Poku, Western Regional Coordinating Director, on behalf of the entire staff of the RCC, promised to work hard as a team to support the incoming Minister as they would all share the same achievements and failures.

Mr Aidoo, later led the group round some projects under construction in the metropolis.

They areas visited included the Essei Lagoon and the bypass at Kasaworado.
