The Organized Youth of Ashanti (OYA) wishes to congratulate Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo- Addo on his 69th Birthday Anniversary.
Nana Akufo-Addo was born on 29th March, 1944 and therefore attains 69 years on 29th March, 2013.
He has served the Republic of Ghana in various capacities as a Minister of State and risen through the ranks to become the Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2008 and 2012 elections missing the Presidency by inches at his first attempt.
As a former Opposition Leader and at age 69, his public life and conduct may have positioned him as a ‘notorious’ leader but Nana Akufo-Addo’s contribution to Ghana’s democracy cannot be down played.
OYA does not subscribe to the phrase “Man never is; man was” and it is against this background that we celebrate the achievements of Nana Akufo-Addo whiles he is 69 years and alive.
It is our hope that as he prepare towards his retirement from active politics at 69 years, he would offer reasonable counsel from the comfort of his sofa in retirement.
OYA will be available to celebrate with Nana Akufo-Addo next year when he turns 70 years.
