Ghana U20 lead marksman Ebenezer Assifuah says he will be delighted to emerge goal king at the 2013 African Youth Championship.

The Liberty Professionals striker leads the scorers chart with three goals and holds the aces to clinch the tournament’s Golden Shoe award.

Assifuah has scored in every single Group A match Ghana played against Egypt, Benin and Algeria.

“Before the tournament started, it was my objective to become goal king. Our target was to qualify for the World Cup and win the African Cup,” the 19-year-old told MTNFootball.com.

“Fortunately, by the Grace of God am leading the chart and I pray to God that I win.”

Assifuah has also won two Man-of-the-Match awards after the first stage of the competition.
