Atsu Gets Full Game In Porto Win To Prove Fitness

Christian Atsu played full throttle in Porto’s win over Estoril

Ghana winger Christian Atsu proved his fitness by playing the entire duration in FC Porto’s 2-0 win over Estoril on Friday night.
The 21-year-old only returned to training last week after sustaining a minor thigh injury.
The Ghana youngster was sparingly used in last weekend’s stalemate with Sporting Lisbon.
He however proved he had shaken off his thigh strain by playing the full throttle and even went on to win a penalty for his side which was neatly dispatched by Jackson Martinez to double Porto’s lead in the 14th minute.
This was after the Portuguese champions had taken a 4th minute lead through Maicon.
The Ghana international now appears good to go to join the Black Stars for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on March 24.
Atsu is one of the players who failed to fully convince fans with a below par performance at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.
The left-footer is however expected to be named in the next Black Stars squad to face Sudan as part of the processes to improve the young lad.
