Azumah Namoro Sanda Accra, March 6, GNA – Mr Azumah Namoro Sanda, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Cherikponi in the Northern Region has toured Nima, Agbogboloshie and Ashaiman to familiarize himself with his constituents living in Greater Accra.

His visit was to interact and ascertain at first-hand the problems and challenges that the natives of Cherikponi in Accra were facing in order to find possible solution to them.

Mr Sanda also visited the family of the late Chief of Chekosi at Nima who died months ago to sympathize.

He advised the youth to mingle themselves with people of the Ga State and respect their traditional and cultural values, adding ‘As strangers from other regions, lets us respect the traditional and cultural values of our host Region for a peaceful stay in the area.’

The MP also advised the Chekosi Youth Groups to abide by the laws of the country.

He said he was embarking on a project to organize a home coming in December this year and subsequent years, which would bring together all the natives of the area to discuss issues towards the advancement of area.

He asked the youth to register all indigenes of Cherikponi and its villages residing in the Greater Accra Region in order for him to have an idea on how to salvage their plight.  

Mr Sanda also task the youth groups not to forget where they were coming from, adding, ‘Always think that your families are at home ‘Cherikponi’ and do at least send some of the small benefits that you are getting here to them.’  

Mr Akor Amidu, Agbogboloshie Group-Secretary, who accompanied the MP to tour the areas said, it was good for an MP to know the challenges that his constituents outside the constituency were facing.

He said this had shown that the MP was committed to the advancement of his constituents and thanked him for the concern.
