PSG have ruled out a return for Thiago Silva in their midweek Champions League clash against Valencia.
The defender is still shaking off the thigh injury he suffered during a league match against Ajaccio.
However, he is expected to make his return for the return leg at the Parc des Princes in three weeks time.
Thiago Motta will also be left behind in the French capital as he continues his recovery from his own thigh injury, the Italian midfielder having only returned to training on Saturday.
Motta has been ruled out by manager Carlo Ancelotti and David Beckham is yet to train with the squad after sealing his move to the club.
Silva is the holder of Sambafoot’s Samba Gold Trophy which he retained for the second year after comprehensively winning the poll conducted in December.
Fellow Brazilian, Lucas Moura, is set to make his Champions League bow in the round-of-16 game on Tuesday after signing for the French giants in January from São Paulo for a fee of €45m.
