Nebo new man at Nigeria’s Power Ministry

The Jonathan administration has named Professor Chinedu Nebo, as successor to Barth Nnaji as Minister for Power.

Nebo and Turaki were sworn in by President Jonathan on Monday in Abuja after their nominations were approved by the Senate on January 23.

Nebo, who hails from Enugu State, was the Vice Chancellor of Univeristy of Nigeria, Nsukka, from June 2004 to June 2009 and the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti.

Turaki, 52, a 2007 gubernatorial aspirant of the PDP in Kebbi State, is an author and publisher.
