Mubarak Wakaso has resumed training with Espanyol first team

Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has been recalled to train with the Espanyol first team after being interdicted for one-week.

The Ghana international was barred from training with Javier Aguirre’s side as a punishment for following his inability to join his teammates in time after the Africa Cup of Nations. 

Wakaso trained with the team on Monday morning and should be available for selection ahead of this weekend’s Spanish La Liga match against Valladolid.

The 22-year-old was also slapped with a 10,000 Euro fine for his decision to over-stay his holidays.

Wakaso will be pushing to regain his place in the Espanyol set-up.
