The 37-year-old former England captain met his new team-mates on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League last-16 tie at Valencia, before taking part in his first training session in the French capital on Wednesday.

There had been speculation Beckham could make his first appearance in a PSG shirt on Sunday, but Ancelotti said at his pre-match press conference today that he was not ready and would likely make his bow in next weekend’s blockbuster clash with Marseille at the Parc des Princes.
