IN a bid to further expand its air services into the Nigerian Airline and the African aviation market as a whole, Voyageur Airways has signed a JV agreement with a Nigerian airline JedAir Ltd to make her Bombardier Dash 8 Q-300/400 aircraft available for Nigerian operations. This is believed will further improve the standard of civil aviation in Nigeria and aircraft passenger &logistics service.
As part of the terms of the JV agreement, Voyageur will provide the aircraft, maintenance and technical expertise while JedAir will operate the aircraft and provide crew and ground handling for the aircraft operations.
Voyageur Airways is a globally recognized and leading air operator and maintenance organization that began operations in 1968 and has steadily grown into a diverse aviation company providing domestic and international non-scheduled and scheduled air services. Voyageur Airways with its over 350 employees, operates out of its 200,000 sq. ft. head office and MRO facility located in North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Voyageur Airways are also known to provide chartered aircraft to the United Nations and NATO, for operations in places such as Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Ivory Coast and Sudan, as of today
Their fleet currently consists of 24 aircraft, with the following aircraft types with Bombardier Dash 8 Series 300/400, Bombardier Bash 7, Series 100/110, Bombardier CRJ200, Beechcraft King Air A100, Beechcraft Super King Air series 200/B200C, Canadair Regional Jet
JedAir Ltd is a duly registered Nigerian airline with a valid Air Operator’s Certificate. The airline commenced operations in 2001 providing non-scheduled air services to corporations and oil/gas companies. Presently the scope of operations of the airline has increased to also cover cargo operations and scheduled passenger services.

The Director of Commercial Services, Voyageur Airways, Mr. Cory Cousineau said, “we are excited about the JV agreement between Voyageur and JedAir. It is a milestone in our African Operations and we will be positioning our aircraft in Nigeria in the first quarter of this year”
