EAST LONDON, South Africa (AFP) – South African Darren Fichardt fired a final-round 71 on Sunday to win the Africa Open golf championship by two strokes from compatriot Jaco van Zyl and Gregory Bourdy of France.
It was the fourth European Tour triumph for the 37-year-old from Pretoria and his success maintained a record of every edition of the six-year tournament being won by a South African.
