Rashid Sumaila is trying out at South African Premier Soccer League Sundowns
Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila is inching close to securing a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns after scoring in the 4-1 friendly win over Zimbabwe giants Caps United.Â
The centre-back was named in the starting line-up and he scored in the second half to make it 3-0 before Zwane scored the fourth and a personal double.
Compatriots Emmanuel Baffour and Mumuni Abubakar came second half substitutes in the match.
Sumaila, who was named in Ghana’s pre-Africa Cup of Nations squad, also featured in the friendly against Highlanders.
He has been training with the Brazilians who recently ended a mid-season tour of Zimbabwe.
Sumailia is on-loan at defending Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko from Ebusua Dwarfs.
