FG to Dualise Lokoja-Benin Road

The Federal Government has awarded the contract of the dualisation of Lokoja to Benin Road, even as it pencils down the construction of Obajana-Egbe-Ilorin roads for the 2014 budget year..
The Kogi State Government expressed its gratitude at the weekend to the federal government for the gesture. The Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, who was represented by his Deputy Yomi Awoniyi, expressed the state’s gratitude when he received in audience, the Federal Controller of Works, Kogi State and the Zonal Director, Federal Emergency Road Management Agency, Engr. Aigbe Osayi and Engr. Femi Kayode in his office.
The governor, who disclosed that good roads remain cardinal to the socio – economic well being of any society, once again called on the Federal Government to construct the Obajana-Ilorin road in view of its importance to the socio-economic development of the nation.
