THISDAY office after the bomb blast

The Federal Government Tuesday applied to a Federal High Court in Abuja to bar journalists from covering the trial of Mr. Mustapha Umar, the man charged with the bombing of SOJ Plaza in Kaduna state occupied by ThisDay, the Moment and the Sun newspapers in April last year.
The application was made by Mr. Simon Labaran, the lawyer leading the prosecution’s team at the trial.
The arraignment of Umar is rescheduled for Wednesday following the unavailability of legal representation for the suspected terrorist last Tuesday when he was first brought to court.
