YAOUNDE (AFP) – A Cameroonian minister denied Thursday reports that a French family seized in the north of the country this week had been freed.
“It is a wild rumour. If this was true, the Cameroonian government would have already given the information to France,” said Communications Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary. Earlier, a French minister went back on an initial confirmation that the family of seven had been freed.
