He also appealed to the people to avail security agencies of vital information in enhancing their operations in various parts of the country.

Idris made the appeal yesterday at his country home of Abejukolo during a prayer session organised by the people of Omala local government area, to mark his first anniversary of exit from office after a two-term dispensation.

The former governor said the Wada-led administration needed more time and the support of the people to implement its programmes in making the state the development hub of the country.

He observed that the yearnings of the people for good governance wasin order in a democratic dispensation, and advised them to be patient with the governor as heimplements his development projects for the state.

According to him, the state is weighed down by the paucity of funds from the federation account, adding that as soon as the finances improve, the state government would build on the foundation his administration had laid.

On the security challenges in the country, Idris urged the people to give valuable information to security agents and support every effort in promoting the continued existence of Nigeria.

Earlier, the Imam, Alhaji Babamaku Ndanusa, who led the League of Imams at the prayer session, asked God to continue to grant Idris good health and long life.
