
Fire has gutted some shops at the Bogoso Junction in Tarkwa in the Western region Monday morning.
The fire, according a witness, Nana Esi Brew Monney of Tarkwa based Space FM, who spoke to the Super Morning Show on Joy FM, started around 5am at area which houses almost all artisans in the Tarkwa Municipality.
According to her, three shops and a car have been burnt to ashes by the fire which as at the time of the report, had been brought under control by personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service.
Nana Esi said the artisans in the area dealt in the sale of several items including car parts, caterpillar parts, and air conditioners.
According to her, the artisans suspect a man who operates with fire in the area, might have started the fire.
