Algeria name Afcon squad

Goal :    Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic has released his player list for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which the local media described as a mixture of youthful and veteran players.

The former Cote D’Ivoire coach says his main objective is to reach the semifinals of the tournament, but will be facing a revenge fight from the Elephants in their last Group D game, after knocking out the Ivorians from the 2010 edition in Angola.

The Fennec Foxes will open their campaign against fellow North Africans Tunisia on January 22 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
