Accident On Tamale-Buipe Road… 12 Confirmed Dead
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicle with registration number AS 8931-12 traveling from Kumasi to Tamale and the driver of a KIA truck with registration number AS 8833-11 traveling from Tamale to the Buipe market collided head on but the cause of the accident was not known at the time of the report. Peace Fm’s Northern Regional correspondent Kwabena Ntow who confirmed the accident to Tweneboah Kodua(TK) on the “kokrokoo” programme, said there was head-on collision between the KIA truck, which was carrying cattle, and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicle which was carrying passengers. Several persons who sustained serious injuries have been rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Twelve persons have been confirmed dead and several injured in an accident that occured on the Tamale-Buipe road in the Northern Region around 3am Monday morning.
