President John Dramani Mahama has directed that for the orderly conduct of Government business, all statutory Boards whose tenure of office has expired should be in care-taker positions until substantive boards are established.

In a release signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr Raymond Atuguba said: “In the spirit of the Transition Act, the Boards shall not take decisions involving a policy issue, sign any major agreement or engage in any significant financial transaction without clearance from the Office of the President.”
