Four persons to contest Council of State elections in W/R

Four persons have submitted their nomination papers to contest the Council of State elections in the Western Region.

Mr Steve Opoku-Mensah, Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC) told the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Wednesday.

He said Mr George Dadzie, who represented the Region in the Council for the past four years had also picked nomination forms to contest the elections.

They are Madam Paulina Asmah, 55, trader, Mr Kojo Armah, a 54-year old lawyer and a 49-year old Court Bailiff, Mr Isaiah Quansah.

The Council of State elections would be held nationwide on February 6, next month.
