The challenge, a social platform for corporate organisations with presence in the Ikeja business area of Lagos, has witnessed increased interest this year with the decision of more firms to be part of the two-day hunt for team golf honour.
According to captain of the club, Tunji Adeyemo, as the only golf course on the mainland part of Lagos, the club “has the responsibility of hosting an event of such magnitude, which will serve as the connecting point for corporate golfers in this part of the state. And this year we have seen some higher level of interest and as a club, we are proud to be providing such a necessary bridge for the corporate world.”
Adeyemo, who noted that the executive committee, which he led, had been pre-occupied with face-lifting the club, added that participants at the challenge would be playing the golf course in its best condition, despite the recent weather changes.
“Our greens are in the best possible shape and the uniqueness of our fairways provide golfers with a challenge they cannot get on any golf course in the country,” he added.
