She is preparing for her big debut on the ice and it seems that Lauren Goodger wants to leave nothing to chance.

The former TOWIE star has been working hard with her partner Michael Zenezini making sure her routine doesn’t see her skating out of the competition.

Lauren was seen smiling as the pair performed a series of lifts and slides to try and perfect their routine ahead of their first performance together this weekend.

Lauren, who is said to have been rapped by show bosses for being a diva, appears to be pulling her finger out at the last minute and was seen concentrating to perfect her moves during Tuesday’s session.

The Essex girl was dressed in a pair of loose-fitting black jogging bottoms and a zip up hooded jumper, but while her outfit was casual her make-up wasn’t.

Lauren had a full face of products on including considerable eye make-up, blusher and ‘Scouse brows’.

The contestant also appeared to have used her own fake tan but was left with white hands and streaks up her arms.

Lauren has admitted that she loves the ‘glamour’ of the show rather than the actual ice skating.

At the launch of the show Lauren said: ‘All the glitz and the glam and the tan, it’s a bit of me.’

But when asked about her skating she
added: ‘The skating is getting there, I love all the make-up and that,
skating’s going to come after’.

While Lauren did appear to be getting the hang of her routine she did suffer a nasty fall that was caught on camera.

The tumble was tweeted by the ITV1 show with the message,’will our six new skaters find their feet in time for Sunday!’

With less than 48 hours to go, Lauren will certainly be hoping she does.

Lauren wasn’t the only star to take
to the ice to put the finishing touches to her routine Anthea Turner was
also seen practicising her moves.

Even though the 24-year old didn’t
competitively skate in last week’s show she did take part in the group
performance, where she managed to avoid any slips or falls.

However the process hasn’t been easy for Lauren, who was seen crying her eyes out in a VT showcasing her pre-show training.

Dancing is not a problem for the
Essex girl, admittedly when she’s had a few cocktails, saying, ”I love
dancing but I am usually drunk in a nightclub.’

Obviously alcohol and hard ice don’t
mix, so she will really need to overcome her fears in order to stay in
the competition against the other celebrities.

Lauren will be performing against Anthea Turner, Oona King, Gareth Thomas, Joe Pasquale and Luke Campbell.

However, the former TOWIE star said that ‘every rehearsal gets a little bit easier,’

And judging by the wide smile on
Lauren’s face as she hits the floor, training is definitely not as scary
as it was when she first started.

The next episode of Dancing On Ice will air on ITV1, Sunday 13th January 6.15pm.
