A female hairdresser has been fingered as the primary suspect in a series of scandalous allegations published on the front page of the Enquirer newspaper on 5th December 2012 that then the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Upper Manya krobo Constituency, Moses Tetteh Berimah, is involved in a sexual scandal with somebody’s wife.
The Enquirer on the above date alleged that Berima has been plunged into a losing battle by a sexual harassment scandal in which his ‘own loud mouth’ bears witness against him. This newspaper can stated however that the entire publication is false and orchestrated to humiliate the hard won reputation of the New Patriotic Party parliamentary aspirant.
In the said article the Enquirer Newspaper however withheld the name of its primary source, lady by name Bernice Djabanor, who according to the story is the lady Mr. Moses Tetteh Berimah is harassing to have sex with. The Daily Searchlight checks at Somanya and Kpong indicate otherwise. The said Bernice Djabanor is a hairdresser at Odumase-Krobo (Maadam) and is currently staying at Kpong quarters after she was divorced from her matrimonial home at Somanya some years ago. She was once married to a prominent chief son at somanya. According to our investigation Bernice Djabanor was divorce by Nartey Azorgra disgracefully when she was caught in bed with a married man who is a hotel manager at Somanya. Moreso, people who spoke to the Daily Searchlight team at Kpong quarters said they were shocked to hear in the papers and on some radio stations that Bernice Djabanor is married to one Mr. Edward Dongotey Dongoyoe, a Ghanaian domiciled in the UK, with membership in the UK/Ireland branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
However, the story was different when The Daily Searchlight Newspaper team visited Kpong quarters to get firsthand information about the much bogus story put out by the Enquirer Newspaper to tarnish the image of Mr. Moses Tetteh Berimah.
“As I speak to you now, she is doing her hairdressing business and as a family member we don’t know she is married to any man, all we know was she was married to the chief’s son but because of her character she was divorced disgracefully and is now moving from one man to other,” said a member of her family. Our checks also have shown that Mr. Edward Dogotey is never married to Bernice Djabanor.
The families of Dogotey when contacted refute any so-called marriage between him and Bernice Djabanor. All that they said was that Mr. Edward Dogotey left Ghana six years ago in strange circumstances and nobody has heard from him whether he is alive or dead.
“We the families know where this story is emanating from and we can say Mr. Moses Tetteh Berimah is married with his wife with four children peacefully and it is not true that he is having an affair or harassing Bernice Djabanor who was disgraceful was sacked from her matrimonial home,” a family member stated.
