Adamawa PDP: Leave Bamanga alone —chieftain

A chieftain of the Peoples Democ-ratic Party (PDP) and national coordinator of the National Interest Co-Coalition (NIC), Bello Godspo-wer, has defended the stance of the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, over the protracted PDP crisis in Adamawa State.

Reacting to the call by the coor-dinator of the Network of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria (NCSON), Comrade Kalu Victor Onyedikachi that Bamanga should be suspended for his role in organising the Adamawa PDP congress, Gods-power said it is unfortunate that some people are trying to undermine the authority of Bamanga in the name of playing politics when their action is actually against the principle of party supremacy.
“We all know that Alhaji Bamanga Tukur is a tested and trusted national leader that any political party will be happy to have, he should not be seen to be parochial but act as the father of all that he is, this is what he has been doing and has done in Adamawa despite being his state of origin.
“Why then should some faceless people be calling for his suspension?
