Wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, in collaboration with the Nigerian Bottling Company on Wednesday in Abeokuta, empowered 50 low income women with Coca Cola branded Iconic Kiosk to assist them earn a living.
At the inauguration of the project at the South – West Resource Centre, Amosun expressed her desire to further promote poverty alleviation initiatives through her Uplifting the people Project.
According to a statement, she said the empowerment programme was part of her initiatives to complement the state government’s effort at employment generation and capacity building.
Managing Director, Nigerian Bottling Company, Ben Langat, represented by the Head, Public Affairs and Communication, Mrs. Yanju Olomola, noted that the wellbeing of its communities and stakeholders was paramount in the company’s agenda and would partner with well meaning Nigerians for the economic development of communities through various empowerment programmes.
