She was the most constant dancer in the competition, topping the leaderboard for four weeks in a row.

But it seems that Denise Van Outen’s Strictly Come Dancing crown is slipping after failing to make the top three on Saturday night’s show.

In a complete change this week, Kimberley Walsh bagged the top spot with her perfect score, while Denise languished in fourth place.

The presenter bagged the top spot week after week, but was knocked off last week by Louis Smith after her partner James Jordan forgot part of their routine.

But it was Denise who had a slip up during Dance Fusion week, getting her heel caught in her 1950s prom-style dress.

Her tiny mistake, coupled with the fact that every other couple seemed to have upped their game, meant that the Essex girl found her self just fourth on the leaderboard out of the remaining six contestants.

The presenter kicked off this week’s Dance Fusion
themed show with the combination of a Jive and a Quickstep.

Len Goodmen enjoyed the routine, saying: ‘The quickstep had show and the jive had go’

While Bruno Tonioli also praised their efforts: ‘You were going at the speed of light. Apart from that moment when you caught yourself, it was superb,’ he said.

Wowing the crowd: The pair got a standing ovation from the crowd and a perfect score from the judges

But despite the good comments and the reasonable score of 35 it seems that they just weren’t as good as Kimberley, Louis and Dan Harmer.

Westlife’s Nicky Bryne, who was in the bottom two last week, failed to impress again this week, getting a series of bad comments form Craig Revel Horwood.

‘There wasn’t any bounce – your posture
was awful in the American Smooth. I suspect
that we’re going to be seeing that dance again,’ he said.
