Supporters of opposition New Patriotic Party have amassed at a private property at Dzorwulu in the Ayawaso-West Wuogon of Accra, over claims that election results were being manipulated in the building.

Hundreds of party supporters trouped to the premises of the facility Saturday, which houses an Israeli company that is reported to have been contracted by the Electoral Commission, to aid in the transmission of results.

According to the angry supporters led by Deputy Communications Director of the NPP Sammy Awuku, some EC officials had condoned with the governing NDC party to change results sent there for transmission.

Not even the intervention by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, who is also leader of the ECOWAS observer mission, could calm tempers as they Sammy Awuku insisted that the party was unaware of any contractual agreements between the EC and the company.

Joy News Gifty Ando-Appiah reported on the Election Headquarters that there is heavy security presence around the area.

She said the heavily armed security personnel have also sealed off the premises from any unlawful intruders.
