Cheryl Cole was dropped from Simon Cowell’s talent show.

The British pop star got the axe as a judge on the US version of X Factor and now she’s reportedly suing the show’s producers saying she’s owed $2.3 million in pay.

Cheryl, 29, who previously sat at the judges’ table on X Factor UK, was brought on board the American version in 2011 after signing a lucrative deal.

Although the Promise This singer was let go from the show before Season One even got under way, she wants her money, more than $2 million of it, TMZ is reporting.

Cheryl claims that she signed a ‘Pay or Play’ contract with Blue Orbit Productions that assured her $1.8 million for the first season and $2 million for the second even if she didn’t appear on the programme.

Furthermore, the model-author says producers promised to pay her various miscellaneous expenses for each season.

These include $100,000 wardrobe allowance, $25,000 for a stylist, as well as $15,000 per month for hotel lodging in Los Angeles and $2,500 a month for other living expenses.

But even before Season One aired, the dark-eyed brunette was fired.

Producers reportedly were convinced the American audience wouldn’t understand what she was saying beneath her heavy Geordie accent.

Nicole Scherzinger became Cheryl’s replacement before she, in turn, was let go and replaced by Britney Spears.

Although Cheryl concedes that she was paid the $1.8 million for Season One, she says she’s still owed the $2 million for Season Two plus all that money for her various expenses.
