Ghana: Some Voting Centres See Unusually Long Queues

Some voting centres in the Greater Accra region have registered very long, meandering queues of voters while other centres have virtually no queues at all.

In the La Dedekotopon Constituency for instance, the La Mansaamo Kpee Technical School polling centre C110508 at Palm Wine Junction, where 735 voters had registered, a small queue had formed. Just about 100 meters away at the Adiembra Primary School 1 C110505B (La Nativity) polling station, a frustratingly long queue saw a handful of security personnel devising one strategy after the other to deal with the milling crowds of voters.

Meanwhile at the Royal Preparatory School polling station C110103 (La Dadekotopon, election officials sat in wait for voters and the few who show up virtually walk through the process but just just opposite, at polling station C100808A in the Korle Klottey constituency, voters waited their turn in long queues.
