If Fern Britton is looking just the tiniest bit pleased with herself, who could blame her?
After all, just a few months ago, this rather unforgiving skintight mini dress would have been an unflattering no-no in her fiftysomething wardrobe.
These days, however, Miss Britton slips into daring styles as easily as she sashayed around the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.

The 55-year-old TV presenter, who shed the pounds thanks to weeks of tough rehearsals for the BBC show, is enjoying every moment of her new image.

not even a hint of a line or wrinkle in this glossy photoshoot for
Hello! magazine.
Whether that’s down to the artistry of the make-up brush or maybe even the airbrush is not clear.
What is certain is that Miss Britton has been shrinking steadily since she had gastric band surgery a few years ago.
Since then, she has been honing her figure with diet and exercise, and her recent stint on Strictly, in which she was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev, did wonders for her figure.
Miss Britton, a mother of four, told Hello! that her time on Strictly had shown people ‘the real me’.
‘You all think I’m mumsy-mumsy, but I’m not.
‘That’s the real me. I know how to have a good time, I like to be extrovert and I don’t mind making a fool of myself.
‘I comfort myself with the feeling that the audience know me and that I’m prepared to have a go at things. I don’t think they’re ever shocked by anything that happens to me. I got such lovely messages saying, “Go, girl.”‘
‘At the end, even Artem said, “You’ve made me a better person”, and gave me a big bunch of flowers.’
