Bloemfontein – An appeal against bail for a 16-year-old boy accused of the Griekwastad family farm murders was dismissed in the Northern Cape High Court in Kimberley on Wednesday. The State appealed against a bail of R5 000 granted to the boy.
The teenager was arrested for the murders of Northern Cape farmer Deon Steenkamp, 44, his wife Christelle, 43, and daughter Marthella, 14.
They were shot on their family farm Naauwhoek on April 6. The trial is expected to start in March next year.
