Hearts of Oak Coach David Duncan recorded his first victory since taking charge of the team a week ago after beating Liberty Professionals 2-0 at the Accra Sports stadium in Accra on Sunday.

Two second half goals by Robin Gnagne and Ashitey Ollenu handed them all the three points in the Accra derby.

The result will mean lots to them as they jump second on the standings just a point behind leaders Aduana Stars. Chelsea got their consolation through Bismark Idan and the defeat sees the Berekum side slip to fifth on the table.

Berekum Arsenal picked their first three points of the season after beating AshantiGold 1-0 at the Berekum Golden City Park.

The Gunner’s had gone seven matches without a win but a 31st minute goals by Bright Kukubor earned them their first win of the season which lifts them off the foot of the table to a place from bottom.

In other matches played at the weekend, King Faisal and Wa All Stars shared the spoils in their goalless draw at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi while New Edubiase handed RTU 2-0 at the Bekwai Park.
