Tunisia: PM Meets Unemployed Graduates, Revolution Wounded and Martyrs’ Families

Tataouine — Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali met, on Saturday in Tataouine, with representatives of the Unemployed Graduates’ Association to enquire about their concerns, regarding notably their claim of “a permanent civil service job.”

Participants in the meeting also pointed out the need to step up investments and development in the region and encourage youths to launch projects by making available to them the needed funding, a Prime Ministry’s press release reads.

Mr. Jebali affirmed to follow up these claims and to find a solution to the employment problem in the region, where the higher-education graduates’ joblessness rate has reached 50%.

During this visit, the Prime Minister met with five wounded of the Revolution and a representative of the families of martyrs, who requested priority in employment, social assistance and healthcare card.

Mr. Jebali assured them to create a single window for the wounded and families of martyrs and connect it to the compensation and employment file.

He also asserted will to prioritise the Revolution wounded and families of the martyrs in social welfare, professional integration and providing income sources to the families who are in need.
