GAT: We’re yet to see tech drawings, cost analysis – Uzodinma

LAGOS— Chairmanof Senate Committee on Aviation, Senator Hope Uzodimma, yesterday, said the members of the senate committee on aviation are yet to see the technical drawings and cost analysis of the remodelled General Aviation Terminal, GAT, building to enable the committee assess the quality of job done and to know if the job was properly valued.

Speaking with aviation correspondents during the  tour of some facilities at the airport, the chairman said the visit by the committee was to know the financial needs of the aviation ministry for the coming year and to also ascertain whether the budgetory provision for the out going year was properly utilised.

“Well we are still seeing and at the end of the day we will put together all that we have seen and look at every project based on project by project basic to ascertain the extend of project executed and also to know the challenges of the contractors and the ministry and the parastatats,” he said.

During the inspection of the remodelled GAT terminal the committee members pointed out some structural defect they noticed in the terminal building.
