The Research and Advocacy Platform (RAP)is demanding full disclosure from the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party on the content of his Curriculum Vitae.
The pro-government group is convinced Nana Akufo Addo is concealing information about his educational background.
At a press conference in Accra, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, spokesperson of the group told the media they have credible information that Nana Addo enrolled into the Oxford University in London in the 1962/63 Academic Year but left the University under “unexplained circumstances.”
Kwakye-Ofosu said Nana Addo surprisingly failed to put in his CV the fact that he attended Oxford University.
Even more worrying, Kwakye Ofosu noted is the loud silence by Nana Addo and his spokespersons on the reasons for excluding his Oxford University education in his CV.
“This silence is worrying to the extent that it leaves substantial doubts in the minds of well meaning Ghanaians as to whether they have been given the full facts about Akufo-Addo’s educational background.
“We believe that such lingering doubt about which school Akufo-Addo attended and whether or not he has concealed aspects of his education does not bode well for our democracy as it runs contrary to the principle of full disclosure which persons who aspire to the highest office of the land must adhere to,” he stated.
He said RAP has taken steps to clarify this matter by writing to the authorities at the Oxford University to provide information on the matter.
