A man lost his legs on Wednesday when he jumped in front of a train in an apparent suicide bid in Soweto, Johannesburg emergency services said.
“(The) 30-year-old man from Naledi was hit by an oncoming train when he tried to commit suicide. His two legs were fully amputated,” spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said.
The man was taken to Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital for treatment. – Sapa
