She proudly showed off her growing bump in a black fitted dress while presenting Children In Need on Friday.

But it seems Fearne Cotton, 31, prefers to cover up while going about her usual daily business.

The star concealed her tummy in a long camel coat when arriving at the BBC Radio 1 studios on Monday.

The DJ looked casual but stylish while wearing a loosely fitted red and blue print dress.

She wore a pair of black tights on her legs and some ankle-high platform boots on her feet.

Fearne completed her look by wearing a woolly hat which matched the colours of her dress, a pair of round sunglasses and she carried a large silver handbag in her hand.

The mother-to-be, who is expecting with boyfriend Jesse Wood, is determined not to succumb to maternity trends and plans to dress in normal clothes for as long as she can.

She recently told Company magazine: ‘I’m not keen on the idea of elasticated waistbands, so I’m sticking mainly with clothes I like but in bigger sizes! Maybe I’ll have to go a bit more boho but nothing too off the beaten track.

‘I usually plan three looks before I go to bed and then decide how I feel when I get up. Some days I’ll put something daring and bright on and other times I just want to hide away so I go black and baggy.’

Keeping a hold on her style: Fearne is refusing to buy maternity wear during her pregnancy and hopes to dress in her normal clothes for as long as possible

She added: ‘I’d be lying if I said [being in the public eye doesn’t affect what I wear]. There are definitely some days where I want to roll up in a pair of dirty jeans and an old jumper, but it’s not worth the s**t I’d get.’

Fearne is due to give birth next spring and recently attempted to stop speculation surrounding the sex of her baby.

She tweeted: ‘Some reports saying im having a girl. I DONT know what im having so these stories are false. Not sure why journos think its ok to do this. (sic)’
