Throughout her pregnancy, Fearne Cotton has been determined to avoid the usual loose-fitting maternity frocks.

And as she co-hosted Children In Need on Friday, she showed she wasn’t about to let her expectant state affect the glamour.

The TV presenter, 31, showed off her growing bump in a sheer black, sequinned dress and high-heels as she shared the screen with veteran Sir Terry Wogan.

Fearne presented the first hour of the lengthy BBC fundraiser, before putting her feet up for 90 minutes as Tess Daly took over along Terry.

She then returned again at 10pm to chat to One Direction, who were performing their second of two songs that evening.

Best friend Holly Willoughby, who was watching the show at home, tweeted her approval of Fearne’s sexy outfit.

She wrote: ‘Wow! @Fearnecotton looking bumpalicious on children in need tonight! xxx.’

Fearne spoke previously about her determination not to succumb to the usual maternity trends as her bump grows.

She told Company magazine: ‘I’m not keen on the idea of elasticated waistbands, so I’m sticking mainly with clothes I like but in bigger sizes! Maybe I’ll have to go a bit more boho but nothing too off the beaten track.

‘I usually plan three looks before I go to bed and then decide how I feel when I get up. Some days I’ll put something daring and bright on and other times I just want to hide away so I go black and baggy.’

She added: ”I’d be lying if I said [being in the public eye doesn’t affect what I wear]. There are definitely some days where I want to roll up in a pair of dirty jeans and an old jumper, but it’s not worth the s**t I’d get.’

Earlier this month, Fearne denied speculation she knew her unborn child’s sex, insisting she didn’t know what she was having.

She tweeted: ‘Some reports saying im
having a girl. I DONT know what im having so these stories are false.
Not sure why journos think its ok to do this.’
