Government has directed that family members and sympathizers of former Vice President Aliu Mahama be airlifted from the Northern Region to Accra, where his funeral shall be held.
Government official in an interview said: “Three aircrafts have been released to airlift family members and sympathizers to Accra for the funeral rites of Alhaji Aliu Mahama, whose demises occurred at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday”.
The funeral rite comes off in Accra on Saturday 17th November, 2012, as custom of Islam demands.
