The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany on Thursday said its contract with VFS Global will end on 31st December 2012.
It said all applicants applying for short-term Schengen visa for business purposes, visits, holidays or honouring official or private invitations were then no longer required to submit their applications with the German Visa Reception Center in Labone but, instead, book an appointment through the Embassy’s online appointment system.
“As of 1st January 2013, all appointments for visa (including long-stay visa for family reunion, studying, re-entry, au pair, etc.) have to be booked through the online appointment system,” said a statement issued by the embassy in Accra.
