Nigeria crisis will get worse next year unless. – El Rufai

The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has said that due to the unchallenged  unprecedented corruption in Nigeria and continous  devaluation of
peoples’ live, numerous challenges confronting the nation will persist in the next couple of years.

Speaking at the second Save Nigeria Group State of the Nation lecture which held today in Ikeja, Lagos, Mallam Rufai lamented that there is high level of unemployment in the country adding that this has created various kind of social crimes.

Mallam Rufai noticed that the political leaders have set bad precedence by creating a wall around themselves where majority are suffering.

“The political leaders think they are succeeding building wall around themselves. They dig borehole in their house where the public tap has run dry; they mounted
giant generating set where the people do not see light. In my own opinion, all these cannot work. It has not work in any society, ” he said.

In his own contribution, former member of House of Representatives, Dino Melaye said the magnitude of corruption in the nation today is beyond what ordinary people
on the street are thinking of.

He said about 60 percent of the nation’s budget ends up in private pockets and wastage.  He called for another Occupy Nigeria protest before the year runs out. “We
must recorver Nigeria from these corrupt leaders,” he said.
