RTU will play their home matches at the Essipong stadium

Real Tamale United will play their home matches at the Essipong stadium following a ban at their home venue.

The pride of the north have been slapped with an indefinite home ban after some of their officials and fans attacked a referee during a Premier League game against Medeama.

Referee Sila Okine is reported to have been attacked by irate fans of the home side who felt aggrieved his abysmal officiating during their 2-0 home defeat to the Mauves and Yellows.

The FA has immedidately ordered the closure of the facility pending the final determination of the matter at the disciplinary committee.

RTU will thus play their home matches at the 20,000 seater Essipong stadium, starting with a game against Tema Youth on Sunday.
