PNC Activist Downgrades Flagbearer’s IEA Performance

Policy Analyst for the People’s National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed says Hassan Ayariga, flagbearer of the party he (Atik) belongs to, performed poorly at the recent Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) Presidential debate because he was ill-prepared for the occasion.

According to him, unlike his other contenders, Mr. Ayariga could not clearly articulate his vision and it was quite difficult to get what he meant as he struggled throughout the debate.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning show, Atik Mohammed bluntly stated “I can say without running the risk of offending my party members he did not do well at all”.

He, however, lauded the other three presidential candidates, Nana Akufo Addo, President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC and Dr Abu Sakara of the PPP for their impeccable performance at the debate.

“The first round about visions, President Mahama was able to articulate his vision with emphasis on education and Abu Sakara also made his point clear, focusing mainly on agriculture….Nana Addo too was very phenomenal with his vision and he spoke about how passionate he is about education and I am happy to say that the vision of his party to invest much in education, health care and job creation is impressive. But I couldn’t quite get it clearly what Hassan Ayariga was saying. His vision put together, I couldn’t quite get it well. He also spoke about critical issues and the greater part of his vision was about education but in summary wise, he could not put it together,” he added.
