Medeama beat RTU 2-0 at the Tamale Sports Stadium

Medeama continued their fine form in the Ghana Premier League with a hard fought 2-0 win at Real Tamale United to stay on top.

The Mauve and Yellows shot ahead against the run of play from striker Kabiru Moro before Masawud Suleman added the second with four minutes left to full time at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Moro latched onto a loose ball and planted it at the blind side of goalkeeper Collins Addo in the 48th minute.

Medeama put up a decent display in total and deserve success with striker Suleman getting the insurance goal on 41 minutes.

He blasted his effort into the roof from inside the box with goalkeeper Addo completely by Bismark Asiedu’s incisive pass.

The game was characterized by some poor refereeing decisions from Sila Okine, whose performance would be expected to dominate the major talking points.

Irate fans of the home side went berserk and pelted officials with missiles from the stands, in apparent disapproval with their performance on the day.

Medeama goalkeeper Joseph Halm had to be rushed to the hospital after he collided with striker Isaac Neequaye in the 35th minute and was replaced by Mozart Adjetey.

Medeama are unbeaten after five rounds of matches and maintain their top spot on the table.
