Ondo deputy governor casts ballot, voting delayed in Akeredolu’s unit

Voting has commenced in some parts of Ondo State in the October 20, 2012 governorship election.

Deputy Governor, Ali Olanusi, cast his vote at Egure Ward 1 Unit 8 in Supare Akoko around 12.20p.m.

Olanusi vowed that his party would beat its opponents in the election even as he described his rumoured resignation as “a rude joke.”

Meanwhile, as at 12.49p.m, voting had yet to commence at the polling station of the Action Congress of Nigeria candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The ACN candidate eventually voted after being delayed for some minutes.

An NGO, EiENigeria, reports on Twitter as at 12.08p.m that, “PU 28/6/3/24: Voting has started. 1302 voters are on the list while 172 came for accreditation exercise.”

More details later.
