Yahaya Mohammed is battling knee injury

Amidaus Professionals are waiting to see the extent of an injury picked up Yahaya Mohammed after he was forced off in their goalless draw against Kotoko on Sunday.

The 24-year-old intelligent enforcer was taken off during their Premier League stalemate against the champions with a suspected knee injury at the Baba Yara stadium.

But Amidaus trainer Tony Lokko has moved to play down fears claiming the substitution was a ‘precautionary’ measure.

“He felt some pains and so it was important we took him off,” Lokko said

“He will see the doctors to see the extent of damage. But we believe it is nothing serious and he will get back to the pitch soon.

“We didn’t want to take any risks. The injury does not seem to be too serious.”

Mohammed was loaned out to the Harbur-based side after he fell out of favour with officials of the Porcupine Warriors.
