Wellington not worried by Kotoko's slow start

Asante Kotoko assistant coach Henry Wellington has revealed he is unperturbed with the side’s slow start to the season.

Wellington, who is acting in the absence of Mas-ud Didi Dramani – away on national team duty – saw the Porcupine Warriors labour to a 0-0 draw on the opening day of their title defence against newly promoted Amidaus Professionals on Sunday.

Speaking after the draw at home to Amidaus, Wellington stated he is not overly troubled by Kotoko’s results and admits they were unlucky to claim all the spoils.

“It was a good game and I am sure we will defend the league,” said Wellington.

“We played very well but it was just hard luck.”

Kotoko play AshantiGold next in the league at the Len Clay Stadium.
