Goal : Flamengo striker Adriano has decided to continue playing professional football, after the former Brazil international failed to report to a training session, which earned him a second official warning from the club on Monday.
After his initial warning, Adriano spoke apologetically to fans at a press conference and promised that he would not make the same mistakes again, whilst also implying that he would end his contract if he was to do so.
The 30-year-old has not played football for six months, after undergoing surgery on his left achilles that has left him requiring physical conditioning. He is also taking part in psychological treatment, upon the request of the club, as he attempts to revive his career.
