With just a few days until their first performance on The X Factor Live Shows, the finalists have packed up their belongings and travelled to London ready to move into their new home.

But if they thought they would be moving into a Hertfordshire mansion like in previous years they would be wrong – but by no means disappointed.

This year producers of the singing contest have splashed out even more to treat them to a whole corridor at London’s flashy Corinthia Hotel.

The weather didn’t give United J, Rylan Clark or James Arthur the best welcome, but the prospect of living in luxury for the next 16 weeks was surely a consolation.

The five star hotel is in a prime location on Whitehall Place, just a stones throw away from
Downing Street, the National Portrait Gallery, and more importantly for
the contestants, the West End’s most infamous nightclubs.

Not only do the 12 finalists and four
wildcards have their own corridor and the rule of £500 per night rooms,
but the guys have unlimited access to the spa, gym and beauty treatments
by request. That is, while they’re still in the competition and not concentrating on their singing rehearsals.

The Corinthia’s website say the
executive rooms offer the option of either a king-size bed or two
doubles, supporting the idea the contestants will be sharing.

They could get used to this! Ryan Clark and James Arthur have been staying in the £500-per-night rooms since getting through to the final stages of The X Factor

But even if they have to share a
room, their digs will be a lot more comforting than the dormitory-style
bedrooms used in the previous X Factor houses.

Each room comes with a standalone
rain shower, deep soaking bathtub and stocked with complimentary ESPA
bathing products as well as a view of the
City or the hotel’s inner courtyard.

The contestants will also have use of an LED flat screen TV in the main room and built into the bath tub, a private bar, coffee machine and a complimentary
newspaper delivered to the door so they can check out the latest X
Factor headlines throughout the 16-week competition.

Last year ITV splashed out £4,000 a
week for the home near Hertford Heath, Herts, which featured a pool, hot
tub, sauna and even its own duck pond.

The mansion was located over 24 miles
away from The Fountain Studios, where the live shows are filmed, a
journey time of just over 46 minutes in good traffic.

The Corinthia is also just 9.5 miles from
the Wembley studios, but because the contestants will be commuting from
Central London, the journey time saves just 15 minutes.

And it seems the hopefuls are already getting used to their surroundings as they were spotted leaving the hotel on Monday.

Covering himself and his coiffed hair from the rain with an umbrella, Rylan dressed casually for a change as he was joined by James Arthur.

And Union J also looked pleased with themselves as they wandered out of the luxurious surroundings for the day.
